It's currently # 249 out of 250. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0379786/
So those of you who haven't yet voted, I suggest you do so, and since IMDB's rating are also managed in a way that senior voters get more weight in their vote, you should vote to other movies first.

That a good idea to vote on other movies first. How many do you need to make you senior?

Your status isn't catagorized as "senior" member, but the more you vote, the more weight your votes carry. At least, that's the way I understood how the IMDB voting process works (From the "The Signal" podcast).

Just to show an example with Serenity's vote:
http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0379786/ratings
Over 60% gave it a 10, and the arithmetic mean is 8.9 (median = 10), and its current weighted average is 8.2 (in the Top 250 ratings it stands as 7.9).
So if all those who gave it a 10 would have voted for more movies (and sincerly, no serenity=10, everything else=1), I have no doubt we would have seen it better rated.
Still 8.2 average ain't that bad, but only 25 thousand voters - that's a shame.

Considering movies like The Maltese Falcon and Rashômon have less than 25,000, I don't think that's a disappointing number of votes at all.

I wonder what would happen if people gave the movies higher on the top 250 list low ratings.
