What scares you folks? Firefly-related or not.

Those Alliance Cruisers really scare me. They look like Corporate Evil personified. Darth Gates' version of a Stardestroyer.

Some people's driving on the freeway scares me too. Especially a semi tailgatin' me when I'm in the slow lane. I'm always wonderin' if it's Archer tryin' to run me down cos I called 'im a "hack".

What frightens me most is the collective of Hilter/Stalin wannabe folks in the upper echelons of our society, business, and government.

That really, REALLY scares me, it does...

The ocean scares me-- not watching it, or being on it in a boat, but being more than a few inches into it without shoes scares the hell out of me.

Bless you for saying it, 'Tash.

Tailgaiters? I have a personal mission to antagonize these people. You should see me drop down to twenty on the highway and stay right in front of them until they give me some slack.

Oh, and antagonizing people who're driving while on the phone. Get off the phone and drive! Oh, yes. Did I mention I live in Massachusetts where the Bad Driver is King?

Now, Firefly. The Alliance cruisers like Dortmunder (anyone know what that means?) always seem... I dunno... Unwieldy, I guess. Like a flying city skyline. Neat design. I wish we'd gotten another look at those fighters on their belly, though.

History repeats the old conceits

Well, GW Bush doesn't scare me because when the shit hits the fan I would rather a guy who grabs a gun than hugs a tree.

What else scares me:

Sobering up and having to face life.

Knowing that at the moment I am signing up to do something that will take the rest of my life to do and 50 years from now no one will remember me doing it.

Thanks for mentioning that (I was scared to say it first ). Yeah, I can't wade into the ocean past the point where I can see my feet. What if you stepped on a critter or a broken shell, or ever worse. . . what if a piece of seaweed touched your foot? *shudders* It doesn't even bear thinking about.
