Favorite Firefly/Serenity Moment

Well the shindig moment had me in stitches. It was entioned earlier so I guess my favorite moment was in the two part serenity intro when your first shot of wash and he is on the cons and playing with dinosaurs and says "this is a fertile land and we shall call this land" slight pause "this land" at that moment he became my favorite character and I was hooked to firefly.

The moment I most think about when I think about Firefly is Mal in the infirmary during Out of Gas, and he's all groggy, and he tells Wash, "You got something in your arm." Wash's reply, that simple, easy "Yeah," delivered in that amazing tone of voice, sums up the entire series for me.
That one moment is what Firefly is about, not gunfights or witty banter, but a bunch of people who honestly care about each other and are willing to sacrifice for each other.

Well, my three fave scenes are: the one with River dancing in Safe; when Mal sees Serenity for the first time in Out of Gas, just the pure love on his face; and the River/reaver fight in Serenity (BDM). Just incredible, flawless action.

1. (classic Whedon moment) 
Operative : "I'm unarmed.."
Mal : 'Good' *blammo!*
2. (atypical poetry) 
Mal : "Understand?"
River : "He understands...she doesn't
comprehend."
3. (pity and terror) 
The moment in Ariel when Jayne asks Mal not to tell the others the truth of what he'd done, "to make something up." It's awe inspiring how the writers create a true moment of pity and sympathy for Jayne even after his loathsome betrayal of River and Simon.
4. (creative brilliance) 
River's pretending to be Serenity in 'Objects in Space.'
5. (creative balls) 
Mal and Wash airing it over Zoey while being tortured by Niska *zzzap!*

On that same note, when Saffron offers to wash his feet? That long look, the glance at Wash and Zoe, the look back at Saffron -- still trying to think of an appropriate response -- gives up, turns and just walks away.

in Train job when Inara brings Mal back, and Mal tells Kaylee "She hit me!" and you see Kaylee and Inara smile to eachother. (also when Mal puts the money in front of goon #2 and the guy buckles like a belt)

When Simon is about to blow out the candles on his cake, and Jayne is touching the icing.... Mal slaps him on the arm... bite sized perfection

Mine is/are basically any moment in "Our Mrs. Reynolds" in which Mal has that confused/uncomfortable look on his face.
