but you can find me over at Holy Ground once in a while.

:) I was mostly kidding. Mostly. It just seems that whenever Highlander runs in the after-school spot, we get the teen-age, "Omigod, Hilunder is SOOOOOOOO Kooooool!" crowd.
I'm nice to them! Honest!

Ah, I see. I can see how that might happen. I just started lurking at the official board about the time they started shooting "The Source", but I'm a loooong time regular (if infrequent poster) at Holyground.

Am I the only one who thinks it's really cool that firefly is so high up on the list? I think that really bides well for the future of the series.

I preorded about 8 of Serenity, and I purchased 5 more Firefly box sets for some friends of mine in Russia.

True enough...but now that Joss Whedon has genuine supporters at Universal, we should pay extra care to justify that support. I'm glad new Browncoats are discovering Firefly all the time...but I just hope that every dollar and then some going to Rupert Murdock and the greaseballs at Focks, can be matched for Mary Parent and Universal.

I’m a new convert as well, and the friend who converted me asked that I wait to buy Firefly and Serenity in case she decides to give me them for Christmas. Yeah right! Like I’m going to wait past the 20th for Serenity! I stopped at Best Buy for Firefly and I think they were sold out. My current plan is to quietly buy both and re-gift any additional sets I acquire to generate new converts!

(Gets ready to duck)

If you live in a decent sized city, what would the advantage be to pre-ordering?

On Dec. 20th, I'm gonna drive to Target and buy it, and if they're out, I'll drive a little farther to WalMart. I'll have my copy sooner than those of you who pre-order and get shipped on the 19th or 20th.

Nobody's gonna make a decision about sequels or anything else based on pre-orders. They'll wait until January or February to total initial Serenity sales. Meanwhile, booming Firefly sales are a compelling reason for a sequel, too.

Actually it's a tribute to the show that the DVD's are still selling so well.

Buy away!
