Course, what we're all forgetting is that without Fox we'd never have got the series in the first place. Having said that someone else might have picked it up...

Although I do find the American network's approach to the series funny:

"Joss, Joss, please make us a series! You're the best we love you. Uh, Joss. Episode 1 showed and our psychic, Mystic Mabel, says the ratings are gonna be rubbish. So we're gonna have to kill the show. See ya. We love you."

Then later:
"OK, we'll do your movie, Joss, because we love you. but we won't advertise it and we'll distribute it by pushing it under the doors of cinemas in a plain brown wrapper."

Now, if they would just give up the rights and let Firefly be free to FLY under someone elses wing...

I watched the whole series myself, for the first time, the other day. Absolutely stunning. I've just finished watching Bushwhacked again and on the 2nd DVD for a 2nd time. It gets better the more you view. Watching the last episode broke my heart. Just knowing there's no more and not getting to know Mals past more, not knowing more about Kaylee, seeing how Zoe and Wash's marriage develops, seeing if River finds her marbles, finding out if shepard realises he is on the right ship, not knowing if Jayne would ever actually betray Mal. So many unanswered questions. It makes myself and no doubt you guys very sad :(

Yes I also feel your anger at Fox. Its all about ratings. Maybe if they put the show in a decent slot it would have got the ratings. Being from UK I'm surprised it hasn't been picked up by the BBC or Channel 4. Those channels tend to transmit shows like Farscape, Stargate, B5 and Star Trek and Firefly would fit right in with their schedule.

Y'all posted some very....creative things one could do to Fox execs. Buy I'm lazy, so I'm just going to turn 'em over to Niska. If he can't finish the job, I'm sure I can locate some helpful reavers to apply the finishing touches.
