Spoiling is fine. Just because you read it doesn't mean you really get it. I'm sure having read that and then seeing it I'll still be totally blown away, since JetFlair said it was one of the best torture scenes ever.
I went to the mall yesterday and saw the DVD set in a store and my friends thought I was crazy when I hugged it. But what else can you do when you don't have the money to buy it? And they didn't believe me when I said it was awesome.
But when I do get it, I will tie them to chairs and prop their eyes open.

Not to quibble, but I think it's "fall," as in, "until she brings him to his fall." I think they use "fall" as a term for orgasm. On this site there is (or used to be) a shooting script for "Trash," and there is a really neat exchange in it between Zoe and Inara in which Inara says that the only sin worse than double booking (for a Companion) is a "badly-faked fall." I'm not aware of "fall" being used thus in other realms, but Shakespeare sometimes used "die" as a double-entendre for orgasm.
By the by, does anyone know if that really is in the bible? It's not the sort of thing one tends to hear from pulpit or podium, and I'm not that well versed in chapter and verse.

Well, going by the subtitles, it's "full", not "fall".

I did a text search for "plow" and "furrow" (individually and together) over about a dozen Bible versions. There are some hits, but none of them are anything like Saffron's quote.
Perhaps it's in the same chapter as the part about the "special hell"...

I guessed that the line in the script refers to Inara's badly faked fall in "Our Mrs. Reynolds" when she gets nailed by the 'goodnight kiss' via Mal. ("I just hit my head, is all"!)
The line Saffron speaks, according to the subtitles, is "bring him to his full".

On the not-so-off chance that I was being forgetful,blind or stupid, I went back to that script and found that section. It reads 'fall,' and they're definately talking about "the little death," (thank you SameErtia for the Roman info).

It goes on, and it's a really neat scene, because most of the time Zoe and Inara don't seem to have much to do with each other, but in this tiny little piece, the writer(s) manage(s) to convey (what seems to me to be) a solid friendship between two grown-up women who don't make each other nervous or insecure. It didn't survive into the episode, of course, but it's easy to picture.
I am contuinually struck by how much there is in this TV SHOW (!) to talk about. Further, I'm grateful that you folks are out there to talk about it with.
