Yeah, the trouble is I think the main Serenity cast don't try to upstage each other which does make for a much more balanced event. Just things like Jonathan reading out the petition for him and Nathan to get together - Nathan delivered the perfect punchline and got the biggest laugh and yet Jonathan still carried on, stripping his shirt off.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not criticising either as guests but it's a tricky balance.

it is. nathan was fantastic doing that, completely out of the blue. but i think it was jonathan incessant wackiness over the whole weekend that really got everyone.

I hadn't really noticed any "rivalry" as such. That might be just me, though. I wouldn't notice unless it's reeeaaally obvious.

I went to a christening today. I told the father of the baby about my "church" experience the week before... he found it quite amusing

Shame this christening was not as much fun as Jonathon's communion

It was all light hearted though? They were trying to outbid each other and they had separate sides of the hall too?

I loved it when they were trying to verify one of the bids. They got really confused..

Johnathan said: "I've got £141. What you got bitch?"

^ (Thanks to Casualty for the quote reminder.)

Johnathan got it completely wrong. Neil and Sean (Harry) were on a lower bid or something?

It was pretty crazy, and hard to keep track of at times though... Didn't Jonathan flash his pants at one point?

Oh, the auction was tip top to the brim with (hopefully) friendly rivalry. I meant between the other guests.

My bad. Got confused... Sorry!

Still haven't fully recovered yet. That weekend's Royally messed with my brain. It's scarred me for life! Seriously!

Shakespeare!

Yup. There wasn't any friendly rivalry between the BDH's that I could detect... Nathan was teasing them a lot though, which was funny, 'cause they looked a bit nervous on stage..

Although, I noticed that 'energy' between the cast. You can see the friendship between them, and how they 'work' together as a group. I've heard about it on tv interviews and read about it in magazines, but it was cool to actually witness it.

Did anyone else pick up on that?

Oh yeah, these guys really love each other. That much was obvious. And I love them for it. Jewel and Morena were hi-larious. Makes me feel so proud to be a part of something like this.

That's the other thing; while Jonathan may have worked with them, that's not the same as being part of the crew. The nine have a chemistry that is unique, it's made of genuine friendship (when Sean said "I love Nathan to pieces" everyone just went "Awwww" because we could all see it was true). It's pretty tough being outside from that and yet still making your mark on the event.

Ah. In any case, their our BDHs, no question. Or rather in the case of Michelangelo, they're our Teenage Mutant Big Damn Hero Turtles.

It's so clear they are all the best of friends. Which is great, of course
