Don't wish to sound overly whimpery here, but I, like many of you methinks, will not be attending the Big Damned Flanvention that's now only a couple weeks away. But I was wondering if any of you think there will be other conventions (with our BDHs, of course) coming up sometime soon, and if the price tag might be more within reach to us starving college students. I am very fortunate to live in California (seems like many of these crazy gatherings occur on the West Coast), so if any of you have any thoughts, I'd love to hear them.
Brain Droppings greatly appreciated.

Sorry to hear you cant make the flan.
But WonderCon usually in Febraury is in San Fransisco, and everyone's hoping that the BDH will attend.
If I hear of anymore I'll let you know!

Wish I could go...*whimpers* but being stranded and poor I can't and haven't been able to go to any conventions. Does anyone know of somewhere on the net where I can download full length video of conventions. I've watched clips from the browncoats site but I want more. *pouts*. If you guys know of any downloads or streams I can watch I would greatly appreciate it. PS If you're going to the BDFlanvention pleeese take as much video as you can and share the wealth with those that can't go!

You might want to keep your eyes peeled for Comicon in San Diego in the spring. The tickets are in the $20 range and all of our BDHs came the last two years. Hopefully, they'll come this year again and they'll have an autograph signing like they did the first year.
If you're on the Yahoo group for SoCal Browncoats, you might want to contact DanRegal and see if he still has any $40 off coupons. That's how I'm able to affoard to go one day this year despite college and student teaching which doesn't pay you squat for nine months of work.

I know that the San Francisco Browncoats were selling DVDs with a bunch of pannels from conventions for not too much money at Comicon last year. You might want to see if they are selling any through their website.
