I love this idea and will say right off the bat, I will scrape under the sofa if need be to find $100.
I am wholeheartedly agreeing, however, with the view that we need to grab attention in the DVD sales and what's more - MEDIA ATTENTION.
There have been shows in the past that have been saved for an extra season or half season (two I can think of immediately) by massive fan support.
BUT, I think one of our major tools in this uprising is the sheer fact that people may think we're slightly mad 
If this idea takes off in a big way and news of it leaks into mainstream entertainment circles - that generates interest, sadly something that wasn't utilised enough in the original marketing campaign.
Still, I'm the first to admit, we are kind of scary in bulk 
and us pushing too hard or being seen as too radical, may scare off some potential 'general' viewers. But at the same time, we really have very little to lose and if this can be recognised by the media - well any exposure helps I guess.
So - add my $100 to the list (I will get searching for more). I’ll remove myself from my soap box now

And if there would be a season and DVD-package, i would give a bit more. And I would give the money more happily, if there would be a DVD included anyway, but lets just try to get it started, first ;)

Ok just to respond to the self-described 'wet blanket'. I appreciate your opinion, and I know we've heard this stuff a hundred times and it's never worked, but what's wrong with a little optimism? Like all really hard things in life, sometimes it takes a hundred failures before you succeed. I for one am not going to dump on this chance just because it's unlikely.
And while I'm at it: Sure you've spent a lot on Serenity stuff. If you can't afford more, that's perfectly fine, but I don't think there's a need to complain that Joss has bled you dry. That was money you spent willingly, and that's all this thread is about. If you happen to have money you're willing to contribute to the cause, great. If not, don't worry about it, but don't dump on us for wanting to.
Oh and by the way, my fiancee pledges 100$ a season as well.
