have only became a recent convert missed the show the first time round.
probably because of the incompetent and neglectful way it was promoted.
like the movie love the series.
would gladly give £100 pounds if i thought it would end up getting firefly back on the air in a new series.
does anybody know what it would cost to film a new full series?

Sounds like a great idea to me, but reading these posts raised enough technical questions to boggle my mind.
I’m constantly broke, (and it’s not because I’m in Med school, more like I should be in a medical institution), but I ‘d gladly scrape up at least the $40 if I knew it would end up in having results than just vanish into cyberspace.
Forgive my ignorance, but is the idea to register to agree to contribute, and if they receive enough commitments to put it legally into play, or to actually contribute the money and hope that they receive enough dough to actually bake the cake?
By the way, it is being posted on other sites, saw it on sci-fi Firefly BB, haven’t checked browncoats.serenitymovie.com yet, but do know the more sites it’s posted, the greater the response will be.

$50 per season.
Hey, if there happen to be any interested producers browsing the page, I have one thing to say to you: DVD boxed set sales. If we fans are willing to foot the bill for production of future seasons of Firefly, then you stand to make buckets of money from boxing up the seasons you didn’t have to pay for and selling them right back to us. You know we’re dedicated enough to by a nice DVD boxed set - after all, that’s how Serenity was born!

Quote:That reads a bit nasty. Some of these "trolls" have been loyals fans of the show since it first aired in 2002. How big a fan you are shouldn't be measured by how much money you're willing and able to throw away.

Quote:Sure, but the problem with "fanatics" is that they won't accept the reality when it's explained to them. So instead, ignore the business and legal reality of the situation, have fun, and enjoy the ride. Who knows what will happen.

Surely there's a Browncoat with expertise in film/TV financing??
Somebody who understands the details of how these things happen? Or a Browncoat who knows someone who knows someone whose second cousin's father-in-law works at a TV production company?

Depending on how much is needed to get this show going, I wouldn't hesitate to throw in anywhere between 1 to 5 hundred dollars. Just bought 2 tennis raquets that costs 235 apiece. I figure this show worths a little more than that.

Seriously, if you all bought my book, I could donate a lot more than $100 . . . think about it . . . the book's only $11 . . . and it may give you brief enjoyment, besides. Good Xmas gift.

$200 a season at the drop of Badger's Hat.
However, I'd like to know that it actually gets to Joss and Co. for the NBDS (New Big Damn Show).
Also... I'd kinda want a free DVD set of each season for that much money.
