Last unwatched ep...

So, I've fallen hard for the show, the past three weeks. Movie did it. I'm down to "heart of gold" on the DVD. Everything else has been watched. Comics, shows, everything.

Here's the question. Do i devour this last, precious unwatched episode, or hold on and save it, miser it for a rainy day? Should I do the whole season in order and build up to it? I guess if I take my time, I could time it to match up with the DVD release-or should i stop wasting time, break out the whisky tonight and live like there's no tommorrow. Prolem is, after this one's watched, it'll be a long time till the next new ep.

OK firefly vets. what would you do if you had one more episode, unwatched, to enjoy?

Watch it, then find someone to indoctrinate and watch some episodes with them. It's almost as good, watching a new person's reactions.

You can always read Dead or Alive on this site, and picture the action in your mind.

Also, Heart of Gold was an awesome episode. Great moments for Inara, Book, Zoe, Wash, Kaylee, and Jayne, and several of the coolest one-off characters among the whores. They cut some of the best lines out of the show, though--the script has some real good stuff.

The commentaries, yes... and now (acting on somebody's tip here) I'm watching through the series with the subtitles on. Fascinating! Sometimes they help you pick up lines that you didn't quite hear. Sometimes they're not quite right, which is also fun to spot.

Curiously, some of the Chinese is captioned as [Speaking Chinese], and some is given in phonetic spelling. I've even noticed a case where the same Chinese word (wei) is interpreted as an English word (way) in one case, then a few moments later it's repeated by the same character and given as phonetic Chinese. Strange...

watch it, watch the commentary to it, and then start over from the beginning and watch them all again (I guarentee that you've missed a lot!)

(while i was waiting for the DVD's to arrive i was fiending)

River Tam sessions...check!

Comic books...check!

Commentaries...rich and fertile territory to be explored.

Oh, and I already have two other people hooked. Its just... too... easy.....

Just watch it.

I started watching Firefly at 10.30 every Thursday night on normal tv and they played all the episodes in the wrong order. SO i watched the last one anyway. Its actually a really good one i like it.

I've never gotten around to readin' Dead or Alive . But definatly see HoG. It has some of the series' best moments, while being the weakest episode. ( debatable, of course )
