Greetings,
I certainly hope everyone has been having a great year and is looking forward to a great summer. i"m sure you all know by now that the next big thing for Firefly junkies will be the release of the DVD box set. Things to keep an eye out for: the three unaired episodes. the audio commentaries ( I did one with Joss for Serenity and with Alan for War Stories, I know the girls did one as well.) Adam Baldwin's rendition of The Hero of Canton (the man they call "me").
All looks great on the movie front. A recent dinner with cast members, Joss and the lovely Kai confirmed rumours that we will all be big damn movie stars. Thank you Joss.
Myself, I am still recovering from the heartbreak of Firefly being cancelled. I heard from somewhere something about a Fox industry promo showing what makes them so great inculded clips from Firefly. Interesting.
My dream? Every three years make a Firefly movie, like the Bond series- but they won't start to suck after a while.
Be Good,
Nathan "Tightpants" Fillion

PS
Everyone say hi to my folks. They are on here all the time.

Oh man, that's a great idea. I was kinda sad when the talk started turning towards a movie instead of a continuation of the series, because a movie is just a one-shot deal. but if we can get it to beome a movie *franchise*.... well, now you're talking Francine....

We *HAVE* to make sure this movie tops $100 Million. Have to. Whatever it takes.
Buying whole theaters for ourselves.
Over and over.
Conning people into buying tickets for that movie. Dragging them in.
Blackmailing people...

Anything... everything...

I'm not complaining, but I don't think I can wait 9 years for 6 more hours of Firefly.

Totally agreed.

I'm not a person who wants to wait three years at a time for a film, I want a movie, yes, but darn it I want my weekly fix too.

Can't I have BOTH?

THAT would be shiny!

"Why we still discussin' this?"

I agree, we need the series back. If we want movies it can be like Star Trek, movies and series at the same time, except I think one series is enough.

Gambit has pretty much summed it up. To get our show back, Browncoats must:
(1) Help maximize DVD sales by spreading the word, buying them as gifts, recommending them as gifts, etc.
(2) Convince as many people as possible to go to the movie.

Seems like we should all get crazy and start a new Browncoat Mission.

We've got 6 months until the DVD and almost 2 years until the movie. I think Sarah should be in charge.

Yeah... so many of my friends, when I mention the DVD or the movie, respond with "but I thought they canceled that show??"

Fox merely chose not to grace their airways with Firefly. Its very much NOT canceled.

HOOOYAAAHH.

Alla y'all Browncoats in ole Detroit and vicinity, just shout out and we'll have movie-parties.

What the hell, it worked for RHPS (tho I detest it.), so I am sure we can spread the browncoat word - even my puny collection of five episodes and the pilot on grainy low quality VHS is enough to have friends drooling, rapt with anticipation of something WORTH WATCHING...

Too bad they get pissed and throw things at me when I tell em Fox cancelled it, as if I was yankin their chain or something - it's Fox what yanked the chain, and here's the real word.

They'll be sorry.
