Whew, you guys have been busy. Well, let's see -- thanks serenitypunk for putting up my initiation! 
I feel so special! It's Friday for me too, on account of tomorrow being Remembrance Day. I really like long weekends, and this has been a loooong week. Yeah, I think that's all my relevant news. What's Wonderfalls?
Edit: Both my grandpas were in WW II. Canadian forces, naturally. And my folks are building a new place in which they will have two fireplaces.

Grand-dad was a cook on a Destroyer during WWII, and Dad worked on aviation electronics on an aicraft carrier during Viet Nam. I was the first of the family not to go Navy or Marine Corps, but the Air Force made me a better deal in the long run: I got them to pay for almost 100% of my undergrad and graduate degrees. I was the first of my family to go to college in a major way. I had to spend 800-odd hours flying on combat crew in the process, but I consider it a fair trade. I came away marketable, and the retirement check (while not enough to live on) is a nice bit of extra in the bank every month.
It could've been more than that, I suppose, but my first wife successfully laid claim to a 50% cut and there you have it. My half adds up nicely in the bank, so it's all good. While she and her ne'er-do-well new husband enjoy the rural trailer lifestyle, I and mine have our sights on a nice little log cabin far enough out of the city to be quiet and peaceful-like.

OOC: Our gorram BRAND NEW copy machine (less than 2 weeks old!) keeps jamming and I cut my finger on something when I was trying to remove the jams. I had to call the company to come deal with it. Grr.
