Jet lag shouldn't be too much of a problem. The excitement will be enough.
Also, there's a lovely thread in the booster events thread (Its actually PR's thread) that some people have suggested some things to keep jet lag away. ( http://www.boosterevents.com/Default.aspx?tabid=89&g=posts&t=721 )
Some of the suggestions were to not take a nap right when you arrive, drink water on the plane, and go to sleep at the local time.
I've made coast-to-coast trips in the past, and in my experience, the westbound travel is the easy part. No real issues. It's the Eastbound leg that gets me. Also, for old farts like me, it gets tougher as you get older. Look forward to that, kiddies!

I won't be getting into the hotel until late evening, local time. Wonder how many browncoats will be wandering around the hotel at that hour?
Question for you veterans: is a Booster Events con typically a costume thing? Are we gonna see a bunch of Mals and Jaynes milling around? I won't be going all out, but there is this leather duster I've been checking out...

Ain't about you, Jayne. It's about what they need.

)If you want to stay at the convention hotel, it's a good idea to reserve your room through the boosterevents site. There's a Flanvention discount, which (I discovered) gives you a much better rate than you get through Expedia and the like.

ok seeing as this convention is on such short notice i MAY have to wait till next year. i live in arizona, and probobly the only one in my group that would come close to being able to aford a trip there. if i can get my friends to go, i would probobly have a place to stay, with a friends family. if i go by myself, its the same deal, except the drive would be long, and it would cost myself alot more in gas.
if anyone from Arizona can possibly take me (preferably by car) and share a hotel room, ill pay for my share of the gas and hotel bill. leave me a message and ill meet you around town so im not a total stranger come convention time.
curse me for picking that quote for my signature... unfortunatly for me it reigns true more often than not.

You are one lucky browncoat! That is going to be one hell of a lunch. If I win a ticket, I will wear my finest attire and sharpen my wit to a razor's edge in a futile attempt to win Morena's affections.
Or Jewel's.
Or Gina's.
Sigh. Gorram ticket auction.

OK, I was wondering are there a bunch of fans who come alone or do most people go in groups?
I didn't know there was a convention in the US till now. And I'm thinking what the heck, I have the frequent flier mile, but was wondering how these things work...
