I've recently ordered a copy of issue one (only one I couldn't find in stores) from Poplollies.

http://www.poplollies.com/browncoats/

I haven't received it yet, but will state delivery time when I do.

Really if you're in need to buy the comic series, buy the Tradeback. It's a bit too late to find any of the issues for a decent price. But hell, it doesn't hurt trying.

hey everyone, if you're looking for the serenity comics, go to:

http://www.midtowncomics.com

i just ordered from them a week or two ago, and they still have the books on sale for the original cover price. you're limited to the selection of the cover variants though, but at least it's cheap.

or you can wait until january (or february?) when Dark Horse puts out the trade paperback collection of all 3 issues.

If that's the case why doesn't Joss finish the story of Firefly/Serenity in comic book form?

Sure, another movie or TV series would be better, but if funds aren't forthcoming this seems like the perfect way to tell us all what happens next.

I'm sure he will be continuing it with a lot of comic books
(altho I'm confident that after another year or two Universal will decide that a sequel can be green lit)
I expect another (at least one more) 'Serenity' series of comics next year,
there are a lot of stories to tell...

But I do think that Joss knows that for most fans the comics are second (or really third) best;
most people would rather have the TV show
or the movie sequel, rather than just comic books.

You're right, but for me finishing the story in whatever way is enough.

The hardest part about watching Firefly and Serenity is knowing that all your questions will never be answered.

[EDIT]... sorry "may not be answered". Here's still hoping!

oh don't be discouraged, and don't say 'never'
Joss is still a very young man, he is only 41,
we can expect him to become more productive, not less...
I really expect to have a lot more from the Firefly/Serenity 'verse...just have to be a little patient
(and hey, most of us around here have been patient a lot already)

I bought the first issue with the mal cover.

The story and art work are fantastic.

Not cheap, bought it off Ebay for £6.95 inc post and packaging.

Although it was a first issue edition and cant be found anywhere.

Im ordering the other eight covers from a comic book shop near me on import so they will be lot cheaper.

Got my delivery from poplollies today. Neatly bagged, boarded, encased in a folder inside the envelope and with a shiny little "thank you" card for using their service. It's the little touches that count. Total cost to me was $4.49 CAD (cover price plus shipping).
