I just bought the DVD-set. In a few days I've gotten my roommate _totally_ hooked. I mean, he is praising it - like really praising it, he's walking around saying stuff like; "I can't believe Firefly was cancelled, wtf were they thinking!?", and he keeps saying; "Dude, have you seen that show Firefly?" to pretty much everyone, lol.
A member of my roomie's band dropped by while we were watching Firefly today, and after it was done he asked if we could watch another episode :D
Contagious? Bloody pandemic!

It's funny how evangelical Firefly fans are. I've been talking about it with the folk I know, and it's great to hear how many of them say "Oh yeah, that was a great show."

Not to mention the fact that Firefly simplified my X-mas shopping as my dad is notoriously hard to buy for, but he recently bought a big TV and is a fan of westerns

yeah, my dvd set is courrently out on loan, as it has been for 2 or 3 months.
I miss it! Maybe I should just get another opnad let that one be the loaner?

It's funny. I just got my copy of "Finding Serenity" this morning and took it to class, while I was reading it, a gal from the next row said "Is that a good book?"
I asked if she was fimiliar with the the show, she has the DVDs. I'm always entertained when I bump into other folk who are fans. :)

I think it's a good simulation of how an idea can either die a quick death, or sweep through the populace like a pandemic.
What I really love to see is when it looks like the end is near, and then there's a sudden upsurge in activity, bigger than the one before!

Nice! I've only got 6 people by direct contact, but I know that some those have gone out and infected dozens more. I've had two failed conversions (hey, what can you do with a brother who prefers chick flicks?

I again add my thanks to those die hard independents who kept the faith and kept this home for all of us to stumble upon in our own good time..
this is a slow but steady and strong movement.. and we will get Firefly back...
