FanFic Writers: Continue on?

Hi Everyone,

I need your input...

Will you be continuing on with your fic that includes Wash and Book? I'm torn and don't know what to do.

I've been paralyzed since seeing the movie. Devastated. Do I continue on as before? Should I go back and edit? In my mind, Joss has set the canon. Before the movie, we had a limited amount of info on which to base our fic. After the movie, certain events are now in stone. They can't be changed, and I am torn as to whether my fiction should reflect what Joss has laid down.

My Delia Cycle depends heavily on Wash. I worked very hard to keep it true to the structure Joss set while expanding the character base and settings...but within certain boundaries I felt were appropriate. But without Wash, I'm wondering where to go from here.

What are you doing? How do you feel about it?

I'd say keep going with what you've got. You could either have it as an AU fic, or, like my Destiny and Vengeance series, you could adjust it so that it leads into the movie.

To me, the entire point of fan fiction is exploring other avenues then the one JW laid down. Also, the BDM hit me so heard, I hardly read any post movie fics
