A survey conducted by James Lindgren of Northwestern University Law School for the Federalist Society and The Wall Street Journal has ranked President Bush just above William Taft and just below Lyndon Johnson.

Now, HERE'S a scary thought: 19% of Republicans think that George Bush has improved the deficit. I'd like to have a rational discussion with this 19% about how, exactly, they think the deficit has improved. But I don't think it's possible.

Country was already screwed up. Every problem we face today was an issue during the 2000 election. One reason to Bush-haters hate Bush is that everything he was saying we need to fix before something happens, has broken since things started to happen. Bush only had 8 months to undue 8 years of damage and neglect, after that he was out of time.

Todays issues, yesterday's choices.

1. Not enough troops, Clinton reduced the army by 50% starting in 1993.

2. Bin Laddin, Clinton didn't try to get him after terror attacks in 1993, 94, 98, 99, or 2000. Same with Hussein, Clinton should have seen war coming when Saddam started shooting at our planes EVERY day.

3. Not enough oil, Clinton said no to new refineries and new drilling.

4. Broken Levies, Clinton decided cleaning the big lake was more important then modernizing the levy system.

5. Natural gas, Clinton said no to new drilling (theres a theme there).

6. Global Warming, Clinton didn't support his own treaty, the Kyoto Accords.

7. Partisan Politics, Clinton engaged in the personal destruction of his accusers starting in 1993 with the former head of the travel office, in essence changing the accepted rules and starting a political war.

8. Expensive health care, if at first you don't succeed (in 1993) Clinton decided to have sex (1993-present) rather then try, try again.

9. Browns losing to Baltimore last Sunday, Clinton failed to intervene and stop the moving of the Browns to Baltimore.

10. Cancellation of Firefly, Clinton allowed Reality TV to ruin the broadcast networks and leading to the rise of cable.

The list goes on and on. There is no problem facing America today that cannot be blamed on the Clinton administration or the Democratic Party.

That would be the 19% that have the highest paying, most useless jobs that they keep justifying with more laws and paperwork that choke the rest of us up with endless hours of needless but demanded responses.
But I think you'll find that the truths that we cling to depend richly on your point of view, and the view from the top must be that all is well...

Chrisisall, wishing that 19% would break away to form their own small, twisted country. Maybe near that island where all those dinosaurs got loose...
