Saw this up at the Prospero boards, thought I'd bring it over here for our own personal amusement.

I basically came out as I thought I would (70 liberal/10 liberal/Socialist), curious to see how some of the rest of you pan out.

You are a
Social Liberal

and an...
Economic Liberal
(11% permissive)
You are best described as a:
Socialist
You exhibit a very well-developed sense of Right and Wrong and believe in economic fairness.
More insane ramblings by the people who brought you Beeeer Milkshakes!
Even though I might, even though I try,
I can't

Libertarian

Huh, it told me what I already knew! But does it seem funny (not "haha" but peculiar) that the one line commentary was the same as CITIZEN's as a Socialist? Weird.

Another test described me as a Liberal Libertarian, okay Libertarian is considered more rightwing but individuallity is Libertarian 'belief' and I certainly believe in that. I also believe in things like National Health (it's a right, not a privilage), so maybe the definitions between right/left Liberal/Libertarian etc. aren't as well defined as we all would like to think

Tests do not account for ones concerns that
transcends personal ideology. Things can be
happening in the global system that may
make a person feel compelled to diversify
their position for pragmatic reasons.

That's exactly what I thought it would be.

Mine read:
You are a
Social Conservative
(36% permissive)
and an...
Economic Conservative
(80% permissive)
You are best described as a:
Republican
You exhibit a very well-developed sense of Right and Wrong and believe in economic fairness.
The part about me being a Republican is actually wrong. Over the last decade or so the GOP has moved to far to the left for my taste, most especially with all of the socialist welfare programs they've joined with the Democrats in supporting.

Try not to overthink this one, Howard. It's just a fun little test, dude. I'm a "liberal," but even I have my conservative issues. This is just a cute way to see how others would rank you, it's not a weighted issue.

I took the stupid test and I really hated
many of the awful loaded questions.
It told me I was an SOCIAL LIBERAL and ECONOMIC
LIBERAL and then it told me I was a bloody
DEMOCRAT. Bollocks to that! It poorly computed
my answers I voted to end large corporations
then it calls me an Economic Liberal. Of course
the question is inflexible of course there are
exceptions. I voted against the Iraq War but it
calls me a DEMOCRAT...that don't figure. Kerry
was going to send 100,000 more troops and
Clinton bombed Iraq on average at least once
every three days for his entire eight years.
Also the American-centricity of it all like that
question about France and the one about the
Holocaust denier or the one about respecting
someone who has been in a war..which war? for
what cause?
Tests suck!
PS and that question of lethal force it said
to defend your property it did not say to
defend your family. So I voted against. If I
was defending people I would have voted yes.
But I ain't killin' anyone just for stuff!
