Come on FOX! We can live without the soundtrack. Give us back our show!!

*slaps some sense into you*

get a grip man! you've gone crazy

yes they were nuts to cancel the show, but a soundtrack is what we have hoped for since the show's beginning

*shakes you*

...

btw, I'm also shocked that Hero of Canton isnt featured. When I heard about its upcoming release and that it would have "bonus tracks" I felt, even though I hoped for music from OOG, that such tracks would undobutedly include the Hero of Canton.

Now it seems I've got my OOG theme I wanted, but not Jayne's theme

I soooo hope it is a hidden track

is the out of gas/empty derelict one the one they play in the beginning where mal falls on the ground, or the one they play when everyone starts abandoning the ship and mal is all alone?

i think it was on the dl'able soundtrack so if anyone can verify.

FOX is starting to tick me off. I bought their soundtrack which is missing about 8 tracks from what Amazon has. Hopefully, FOX music will add the tracks to their list which I can download, but I am not holding my breath.

I was really hoping for the music at the end of Out of Gas when Mal is walking through the empty ship and closing all the doors to conserve air/heat. It was kind of an upbeat, triumphal march even though it was a down feeling of the episode. That's what I loved about the show.

The Out of Gas / Empty Derelict is from the start of the episode where we see all the empty rooms and then Mal falls into the shot having been shot.

Gack! I can't WAIT for this to come in the mail! I'm going to be listening to it constantly for like 10 weeks straight! Why isn't it here yet? Why, I ask you?!

aww nuts - I never noticed that

on the downloadable soundtrack the title for that track isnt Out Of Gas/ Empty Derelict, but Deserted Ship/ Empty Derelict, so when I saw the mention of OOG, I assumed it was the music you were speaking of (I love that theme too). I hoped that they had added to the suite to include the moment where Mal is left alone

Then again, the final track is entitled Dying Ship/ Naked Mal

I can't think of a scene from Trash that includes a dying ship, so perhaps the first part of the track is the theme we're hoping for

I still don't see the instrumental version of the main theme (closing credits music). I added that to my downloaded soundtrack (capped it from the DVDs). Makes a nice final track.

"Hero of Canton" would have been nice, but it's really not quite the same sort of music as the rest of the S/T. It might have felt a bit out of place.

I'm sure the fox download was a deliberate attempt to rip us off - knowing we'd all have to buy the full thing. Bastards.

I'd love to have Hero of Canton on there but I can understand the logic of leaving it off - it is a very different style to the rest and may require extra royalties for the singer and script writer. It would be awesome if it was one of those hidden before track 1 things, but I doubt we'd be so lucky.

But still, I'm looking forward to getting this. I'm just waiting for it to appear on amazon.co.uk or play.com.
