I went and put in my word.
Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawd. I was reading some of the other comments, and I'm reminded of why it is the obligation of cro-magnons such as myself to go around clubbing other cro-magnons.

Vote tendered. Here's my comment:

The show to acquire is "Firefly." Fox squandered it, and in so doing alienated a fairly large number of quite avid fans, myself included. It's got guns, space ships, lovely women, action, comedy, and (here's two novel concepts) a brain and a soul. Fox dropped the ball; it's time to pick it up and spike it! Good luck!
Like the sports imagery? I was 'specially prideful about that bit.
Fingers (etc.) crossed!

So is the network kind of like golf....Gentlemen Only, Ladies Forbidden?
Anyway....I voted....I don't see how they plan on inforcing the men only thing.....does it really matter?
Cheers,

I voted for it (2 x). I guess if they decide to air it I will just pretend to be a man when they show it (sorry - an all male network seems kind of redundant to me, you know?)

sorry - I honestly don't know why that showed up in duplicate.

ROTFLMGDAOEJGNDIGHED and whatever other letters fit.... I first saw this a couple of days ago and thought it was a joke. This is for real isn't it?? My god, this is hilarious. I don't care whether they show Firefly or not, I'm never, (not ever, never) watching television again. Its nothing but dope for cattle.... hmm I better calm down or I'll end up on a murderous frenzy in one of Sarahetc's stories.

So y'all know this has, I repeat has been cross posted to the fox boards, tho they don't seem to be exhibiting the same kind of enthusiasm we do.
Gotta get to work outlining a splattery spree-kill.

I'm sorry, but:
I don’t know how you spell Gentlemen when abbreviating, but seeing how Golf comes from the game of Kolf, a Dutch variation of a Greek game (brought thorough the Romans), I don’t think that whoever said that was what it stood for was thinking straight. (Then again maybe gentlemen does start with a ‘K’ I don’t speak Dutch.) Anyway we have the Scottish to thank for the change of the K to a G.
Regardless, I’m sure that they will enforce it in the same way that exclusively women’s entertainment networks do. They’ll play the worst programming conceivable, and assume that the only people who watch are doing so because they are like sheep and were told that it was entertainment for their gender, so they must like it.
I hope they put Firefly on, it could be the saving grace for gender entertainment. Well not really (they’ll still have the other shows), but it would still be a good thing for us.

Done. Best way to do this is to talk about the show, not about your feelings for it. Networks need numbers and statistics and specifics.

GREAT series called "Firefly" by Joss Whedon. A science-fiction format with overtones of Star Wars influenced by classic Western genre AND a ready-made fan base.
incidentally, something tells me any program with the word "Horsepower" in it on a Male-oriented channel probably doesn't have much to do with actual horses. more like the horsepower of the 1967 Corvette Sting Ray Convertible (that's 435, btw). ARR!

*Stands next to Succatash, BUT CLOTHED*
I wholeheartedly apologize for not finding a TV station that was accepting suggestions for its line-up which also did not offend and disgust not only the fairer sex, but most normal people as well, with its stereotypical display of what they believe "real men" want to see. BUT if it gets Firefly on the air and enough of a fanbase to get new episodes, then our sacrifice must be to support a network that feels "Showgirls" and "baywatch" are quality television.
"Dear God, what have I done?"
*starts disrobing in shame*
