Hello?

"My God - you're like a trained ape. Without the training."
"Come a day there won't be room for naughty men like us to slip about at all..."
I know the secret.

Blimey.

There's an echo it's so quiet and empty around here.

I'm here Rel! And I've got a bad case of the Mondays so I could use as much randomness and vodka filled chocolates I can get!

I can't wait to see pictures! Guys in tuxes, girls in slinky dresses! How I wish I could join you all.

'Allo.

Hollyday here in the US, so having a quiet time of it. Tomorrow my wife goes back to work after two weeks off; I don't envy her having to get back into the swing of things.

Team Random mugs are ueber-shiny! We use them often and they're our new favorites.

Talked a couple more people into seeing the BDM this past weekend; total virgins to the 'verse, and they loved it immensely. I can't explain why the box office take isn't better, except the world is populated by backbirths who don't know good from dreck, and the human herd needs serious culling. I volunteer to do some of the work.

I hope your convention is at least double the good times you hope for!

I don't know what your problem is, but I bet it's hard to pronounce.

No hollydaying for me. "(

But I did get to go out for lunch and got white pizza-yum!

Good for you for bringing more people. I wish I could drag some people to the theaters! Oy, it's frustrating.

Need help culling the herd?

I wonder if we've got any chocolate stashed around here anywhere.

*checks nooks and crannies of thread. Finds nothing. Shakes out TWG's sleeping bag. Finds Frankenberry crumbs.*

Where are the ninja monkeys when you need them?

I actually burned eight more hours of accumulated vacation time in order to get today off. After a year of taking hardly any vacations I've had a goodly bit put by, even after that week in Florida. Anne works for a bank so she had it off as a matter of course.

BDM on DVD in time for Xmas? Sounds shiny! Gonna be a bit late for sending as gifts, though.

I envision this: A queue of ninja monkeys--nay, a veritable processional. They bear a large throne; seated thereupon is a life-sized chocolate effigy of--you guessed it--Alan. Upon closer inspection it would be learned he's actually hollow and filled with a vodka-based syrup.

Whadya think: Too over the top?

No! Not over the top. Perched right on the very apex, right where it should be!

Bring on the throne-bearing Ninja Monkeys and their vodka syrup filled life sized Chocolate Alan!

Hello everyone!!
Gosh it's good to be back after such a long break. Have been trying to get this blasted internet set up in my flat, enrolling in new courses and sorting out society business.
Oh yeah... and there was some movie that came out and more or less crashed the FFF server for a week and a half.

But yay! As in chocolate-covered ninja monkeys kind of YAY! Seen the BDM three times now (once a few weeks back at that final advanced screening in Glasgow, and twice over this here past weekend). Good times all around! Serenity is only playing in one of the small screens at our local (quite fittingly) independent cinema, and it only seats about 150. But it's been sold-out for every screening since Friday, and I've been able to convice lots of wavering cinema-goers to see Serenity after missing their intended Oliver Twist or W & G.
Also (finally) met fellow uni Browncoats, so hopefully we'll host lots of shindigs throughout the year. OH! And was able to somewhat convert an anti-Whedonite Alien-fanatic, who felt bitter and twisted about him apparently ruining the franchise with the script for Alien:Res.

*plonks himself down into a comfortable chair* Weekend over. Mission accomplished.

Anyway, back to randomness! Hope you are all well, and that your absence is Serenity-related.

I do have a question though before I depart and get some well-earned sleep:
Which do you think would make a more lasting impression at S2: Black-tie kilt attire, or my pair of Mongolian wrestling pants?
(serious answers and/or suggestions only in haiku form please)
