I think it mutated a little by the time it reached the screen, but who cares? I was not alone in my suffering -- and now there is hope of a treatment! Bless you all!

One last report: Saw the BDM for the fourth time today, and managed to make out the lyrics as presented on screen:

At this point the jingle dies out as River enters her fugue state.
Thanks to everyone who tried to help me. I've managed to bring the echo in my head down to managable levels.

Glad to hear it - after my 3rd BDM viewing last night, it's going to take a crowbar to get that jingle out of my head. But at least having it in there isn't as unpleasant as I'd thought it would be.

Yes, yes, with the third viewing comes evangelical mode (and apparently, a Fruity Oaty Bar Jingle fugue state). Go bring the good news of Serenity to a waiting world.

liminalosity - re: proselytizing, I have actually done a fair amount. I'm very sensitive to the advocate/zealot line, though, and have worked hard to avoid becoming the latter.
