was probably "Summer Holiday" with Mickey Rooney. Can you believe that kid was the biggest star in the world? Funny world.
Meanwhile, I'm just rounding out the weekend with a little praise for my dear peeps. Considering everything we've had to overcome, this is an extraordinary achievment. And you guys have been in the front lines. I lurk, I know all. So thanks. Some of you might know that this flick means more than a little to me.
Yes, the second weekend will tell all, as we've always known. I'm not here to push you guys -- you push yourselves way harder than I could anyway. I'm just trying to figure out how to get the message out to the guys that aren't you, that don't know any of you, and that don't run into someone who saw the film. I'll be hounding the extremely patient Uni execs on that very subject. Like the lady said, "People have to know".
It's not that there HAS to be a sequel. It's just that I've got so many IDEAS...

I'm inviting friends who've not seen SERENITY to go sometime this weekend. I'm e-mailing the link to the 9 minute intro to the BDM.
I saw it opening night.
I saw it again on Sunday.
I saw it again again on Thursday.....
" They don't like it when you shoot at 'em. I worked that out myself. "

I saw it yesterday, at an UK preivew screening in Cardiff. The cinema was full, and after the movie, everyone who saw it was enthused about how good a film it really was.

thanks for the copy, haken..
"so many ideas"?...
...now i'm feeling like a junky...
(shakes)
...must...have...more...firefly/serenity...
anyway, yeah, i'm planning on watching it again this weekend, bringing along some peeps who are definitely outsiders when it comes to anything sci-fi (e.g., "sci-fi?...so...does it have aliens?").
i REALLY want this movie to do well this weekend, definitely better than the box office mojo forecast of 4.8 million (yikes!)...i feel like a kid waiting for his exam grade to come in, going, "come on...anything better than an 80..."

Repost the quote from Joss in all the other message boards. People have to know!!! This is where it all comes down. This is the decisive battle for Serenity Valley. Let's make sure we don't lose this time.

I've seen it once and I'm going again this weekend. To all those that have seen it only once, go see it again if you can.
Posted this and sent a bulletin to saveangel.org members.

I've now seen it twice, and would gladly go again, if it wasn't Canadian thanksgiving, and I have to go up to the cottage.
I have several friends who want to see it on my recommendation, but they just are in no rush... it's frustrating.

So I'm a little late to the party, but I did manage to see Serenity on Saturday (with brother), again on Sunday (with mom), and proceed to watch the entire DVD series (which I had given to my brother last year for Christmas) from Sunday afternoon until the waking hours of Monday morning. How did I miss out on this when it was on TV?! Actually, I don't watch TV that much, but I sure would have if I had realized this was on! Anyway, I hope to convince my other brother to go this weekend if he hasn't already -- or even if he has!
