Pirate Serenity torrents - we need to stop them

Just been told today that there are already a few dodgy copies of Serenity circulating the Internet for download.

Surely there must be something we can do to stop them.

Any thoughts??

I don't download stuff myself but I've met a few people who discovered Firefly via illegal Bittorrent downloads and then bought the DVDs so I don't think its that disasterous. Of course there are some people who only download stuff and never buy anything but there are also those who download stuff to try it out and then buy what they like.

Firefly was only shown on a minor satalite here in the UK and many fans would never have bought the DVDs if they had not discovered it either through downloads or borrowing from friends; both things which the entertainment industry would like to prevent using DRM.

I dunno how it can be stop, and really, it happens with every movie. I will eventually get the downloaded version of Serenity so I don't end up seeing the damn movie every other day. *__* I'll become poor from it.

But for those who don't bother seeing it on screen, for shame.

It's actually been available since mid September or so... Pretty good copy too.

Impossible to stop.

I have naughty copies of Firefly..well, they are recorded from TV to avi..not sure how naughty that is, but I intend on buying the DVD set as soon as.

Alright, just so everyone knows ill say it again "ITS IMMPOSSIBLE TO STOP". Hell's Kitten - no disrepect intended, but no one cares about illegally downloaded stuff. The RIAA (those suppose to stop illigally downloading music) they could really give a 5|-|1t if you do it or not, they only bust people when they need money, or the gov't tells 'em if they don't catch someone they'll get new people or shut down their program. They really don't care. I too have an illigal version of Firefly, but definatly am looking at buying it. I also have looked at downloading Serenity, which will take me a good week, dial-up, :'(, lol. i know, im dissapointed in myself, but i love it so much :)and in a past post i state that i live a good hour and half away form the closest movie theater that plays Serenity. So i've seen it once, mind you on the 30th (opening day) and that # would be at about 6 or 7 if i lived closer to an actual town. So, srry guys, but when Serenity comes out on DVD, ill delete my illegal copy and buy it, MOST DEFINATELY. :D
