Easily the best start yet. Bar none. Agree/disagree?

Early: You ever been raped, Kaylee?
Kaylee: You know, it's funny you should mention that... ever heard of the Fox network?

Did I miss something? I thought there were 3 unaired episodes "Heart of Gold", "Trash" and "Dead or Alive". Where did "The Message" come from? Not that I'm complaining, mind you. The more Firefly the better!

Kethryveris,
There were three episodes that were filmed but not aired. "The Message", "Trash", and "Heart of Gold". "Dead or Alive", the last script we read, was never even filmed. The show was put on hiatus before it reached that stage.

Love it, damned funny, can't wait to watch this one. But it makes me mad too, thinking about the Fox idjits not even giving this show a chance!

Actually, "Dead or Alive" was written much earlier (in August!) and I believe it would've taken place between "Our Mrs. Reynolds" and "Jaynestown." I have two speculations on why it was never filmed: a)FOX didn't like the plot involving a terrorist attack; or b)costs involving building new sets, getting guest stars, special effects, etc., would go too far over budget for them to be able to do the episode (and it wouldn't be worth doing on a smaller budget). Or it could be another reason.

Anyway, at least four scripts were written after "The Message." "Dead or Alive" was not one of them.

Love it, and can't wait to read more.
Sigh.
Wish someone else would pick this show up - on a Network I can get. WB, UPN, anyone listening?

If it's not the best it's certainly the funniest.

I think I liked the "Trash" teaser better. But that was probably because it made such a quick connection to an earlier episode.

Yee-haw! You mean there are four MORE official Firefly stories after The Message? I was getting all teary thinking that in just four weeks we'd have the last of the last Firefly story, and now I learn that that's not so.

I wonder if the fine folks at FireflyFans have access to those other four... 'Twould make me pleased...
