What to watch first - Serenity movie or Firefly DVD?

Hi All,

I would like some advice.

I bought my wife the Firefly DVD set for her birthday next week. She's a big Buffy fan, and into sci-fi too. Should we watch the series first, before going to see the Serenity movie (which opens tomorrow in the UK), or should we see the movie, then catch up on the TV series at our leisure?

DVD definately. The film will stand alone, but you'll wish you'd watched the DVD first.

Unfortunately, unless you can fit all the episodes in before Sunday, you need to go and see the movie. We need those ticket sales. :)

If at all possible, I suggest that you watch the series in the order on the DVD first. But if you can't, then at least watch the first episode. In my opinion, it is one of the best series introductions ever.
