The absolute funniest thing I heard wasn't in my theatre, but my friend back in Nashville (who caught the showing that most browncoats were at, it seems) relayed it to me.
At the end, when Simon and Kaylee finally go at it, and fall to the floor on top of each other, one person in the audience calls out: "Have good sex!"

It was the word, "NO!" and the theater was full of it.
Same line, and I'll wager same place... I heard that in my theater. I was certainly thinking that hard enough. KF

ZOE: Preacher, don’t the Bible have some pretty specific things to say about killing?
BOOK: Quite specific. It is, however, somewhat fuzzier on the subject of kneecaps...

ok.
between the universal symbol and the start of the movie, me and my brother shouted at the top of our lungs "YOU CAN'T STOP THE SIGNAL!!!" (my idea) muah ha ha.
Right after that someone (not a browncoat) said "... for wierdos." Yup, that's me. A pure wierdo from beyond!!! However, if it had come from another browncoat i would have been disappointed with them.
River: There's too much snow on top. It's going to cave in. HIs brain's in grave danger.
Zoe: River, honey, he's putting the hair away now.
River: It doesn't matter. It'll still be there. Waiting...

Lets see....
When Serenity wasn't changing course and then all of a sudden all those Reavers showed up, I was like "Oh shit!" with a huge ass grin on my face.
I don't actually recall any one yelling out any thing. I said a few things, but just to myself. Don't know if others could hear me.

You know, I'm all for enthusiasm and such, but... really? Even as a Browncoat that probably would've put me off a bit...

Funny story. I'm in the theater Friday night at 7:20pm. Sitting directly behind me is a group of elderly black women, not a'one younger than 70. Here's the conversation:
EBW#1 - Could you tell us what the movie is about again?
EBW#2 - Oh yes, [pulls out a pamphlet, begins to read the standard press description] 500 years in the future, [blah blah - she reads the whole thing very slowly, while the other ladies listen closely] ... between the carnivorous reavers and the all powerful alliance.
EBW#3 - Is it like Star Wars?
EBW#2 -Oh no! It's much better than Star Wars.
EBW#3 - Oh good.
-- after the movie --
EBW#3 - Poor shepherd Book! He was the best character!
EBW#4 - And so HANDSOME!
You never know who may be a Serenity fan!

I walked into the theater with my Jayne's hat on, and these two girls in the back see us and start giggling really hard, I thought there were squirrels loose in the theater.

Yesterday I went to see the BDM for the second time and sitting in the row in front of me was a group of 4 tatooed, tough-guy looking friends. They never said or did anything throughout the movie until

Simon tells Kaylee how his one regret is not being with her.
At that point, they start to snicker at what they clearly felt was a cheesy, Lifetime made-for-TV-movie moment. Then

Kaylee has her great, "Screw this, I'm going to live" line
and they promptly shut right up.

That's great. The last time I saw it - Sunday matinee - there was who I thought to be an elderly white woman by herself. She wasn't as old as I thought (maybe 50ish), but still very surprising.
I managed to sit in front of a group of fans who hadn't seen it yet. Maybe I'm evil, but I love stting near fans who haven't seen it yet so I can hear their reaction to certain events.

Again, my sides hurt. I can't imagine trying to be quiet while someone behind me reads the press description.
The pre-screening I attended was full of a huge range of ages, multiple races, and both visible sexes. Everybody laughed, everybody gasped.
Joss (and his folk) are just good!
