I found some paper at Office Max made specifically for bumper stickers. Holds up to weather fairly decently, but water makes it fade some. Also, package says it's water-resistant (not waterproof) and can be affected by direct sprays of water from car washes or hoses.

My paper is called IBM Ink Jet Bumper Stickers.
5 sheets, 8 and half by 11. Says coated vinyl bumper sticker material produces brilliant colors and photo quality images. Good for all ink jet printers. Water resistant and fade resistant. Says water resistant but can be affected by strong direct sprays of water from car washes or a hose. Also says for temporary outdoor use. So far my stickers are still stuck and looking good. They have been in rain and snow. I just laid out the design in a photo program, made it as big as I could to fit the page, then printed a test sheet on regular paper first to make sure the layout was correct before printing it on a sticker sheet. Hope this helps. I wanted to add that I did the characters on one sheet, then cut them out as individuals. That way, I got all the characters on one page.
