We were at an AMC theater last night, big theater too and it was almost full. This was for teh 7:50 show.

The sound however was terrible. Is anyone else getting a constant echo in the dialog?

I was at the Star theater in Taylor MI. Sorry to say there were only about 8 people there including me and my two sons. It was a fairly early showing (1:30) so Im hoping the later showings did better

(I want Jayne on the Red Wings, he'd kick butt.)

Unfortunatly no. I saw the movie in NJ, dont remember the theater, at 4:30 and the theater was not even half full.

But this is probably because they did not have the movie reel working right until about 20 before the movie. I walked in, saw Serenity Sold Out, and went outside to tell my mom. We came back in and the sign is gone. We go up to the ticket booth and ask for 4:30 Serenity. When the guy said yes, we question him about the sold out sign and he told us the reel was just fixed. Many people were probably turned away like we were. Stupid theater!!!

I can give a little bit better news. I'm in Eugene Oregon, my group and I went to see it at 10:10 on saturday. The theater for our show was about 3/4 full which is pretty good, but I also noted the 3:45 showing still had the sold out sticker over it at the ticket booth.

Well, the two showings I went to were about 75% to 80% full. Saw lots of obvious browncoats due to costumes, Blue Sun tees, etc. I would say fans made up about 50% of the audience.

A local browncoat went to the 1:10 showing on Friday and said there were actually 50 or more people at that time, which is something seeing as how that is the middle of a weekday.

apparently charlottesville virginia isn't just for granola munchers! fri my show was sold out and the place was packed for the next showing. my parents and friends saw it last night. i thinks we've got hope!

I saw it three times this weekend. Friday at 7 the theater was about 3/4 full, a decent number. I think the other theater that was showing it was full all day (but I'm not sure).

Saturday at 9:40 was dissappointing, there were only about 20 people there and half of that was my group [and all but 2 of us were repeat viewers].

Sunday at 4:10 there were a few more... I'd say 1/4 full, which made me feel a little better. A few people in the crowd seemed to be the type that would have avoided Friday/Saturday on purpose to avoid the rabid fanbase-type.

Unfortunately, it wasn't showing in the best theater in town... but said theater is out in the middle of nowhere, making it difficult for the core audience to get to.

I saw it in Woodbridge, VA at 7:00. about90 to 95% full.

The day I say I adore a television show is the day I bang my head against the wall for being such a wuss!

My advanced screening was loaded! but of course that was free.

I was also at the Orlando Shindig. BTW THANKS For the Great time, you Orlando Browncoats!

Anways as we were leaving for teh after movie soiree I peekedinto another auditorium showing Serenity and it was full to the top, with the normal spaces inbetween people.

So it was pretty packed.

Sorry, barely half a house. On a Saturday night, yet. What are ya gonna do? People just love that Jodi Foster. On the bright side, we still finished #2, ahead of both Tim Burton and Vigo Mortensen! "Into the Blue" wound up way down at #5. So it could have been worse.
