I saw River as "The Agenging Angel" -- starting in the episode where she shot the 3 guys in about 5 minutes (was it Ariel? I'm not sure help me out here kids)
Although perhaps "Agenging but mentally-stable? not-so-much Angel" is a better description.
I mean, they'd just broken her story out of the hat when Fox canned the series.
That was what made me the saddest. I really wanted to follow River's character development. She could have been our next Buffy, only less predictable, which is potentially more interesting.
We'll just have to wait a bit longer to hear the story, is all. It's in Joss' head, so we can be sure it's coming...

Do you mean "Avenging Angel"? Anyway, it was in War Stories and it was more like 3 guys in 1.5 seconds.
