I would much prefer an actual CD to downloading it. I've never downloaded a soundtrack like this in my life, and the whole thing seems rather sketchy to me - I don't like how the download site has a different domain than FoxMusic. Even if it's offical and completely on the up-and-up, it's not a good business practice. I'll never pay for something when I'm redirected like that and can't verify that I'm still on the site I mean to be on.
Pretty much the only way I'll buy it is if it goes to Amazon.

Hey, I've now got confirmation. The Fox Music Store is completely, 100% incompatible with Mac OS X.
I've sent off a complaint to them, but I doubt they'll do anything.

Yeah, yeah. I might end up downloading it here at school, with some faster internet.

I was just about leaping for joy when I got an email from Fox Music with news of the soundtrack. Then after inputting all my details as I tried to buy it, it said my country is not supported!
Stupid piece of fei oo
Why the hell does it need to be supported? All it requires is downloading! I live in the UK, not some obscure country where the internet is outlawed
ITs typical. I had the same problem geting the Millennium soundtrack. I eventually had to download that off a p2p program. And I was willing to shell out as well!

Quote:Don't we all? Listen, I talked repeatedly to the folks at FOX last year. Firefly is NOT a priority with them. This is as good as it gets, guys. If you're holding out for the CD version, don't. After years of emails and calls begging for the soundtrack, we're lucky we have it in any format at all.

There is always hope that if tons of people buy this, they might perk up and invest in the CD format. But judging from the comments on this thread, it doesn't look likely does it?

Yup, I'm on OSX as well and it's not going well at all.
Looks like I'll have to just get my brother to download it and burn me a copy. Maybe then I'll just send my ten bucks to Greg Edmondson.
Did anyone else notice in the email Fox sent out announcing the album (I'm assuming this went to everyone who wrote asking for it), they spelled it Josh Whedon?
Curse you, Fox!

Laugh all you want. I live in the middle of nowhere, and dial-up is my only option. So if there's a kind Browncoat out there who will burn me a CD of this, I will gladly trade copies of my band's CDs, including the upcoming _On the Drift_, an entire album of Firefly-inspired music.

Ditto ^
I just got the e-mail.
I have an idea- Since they're not releasing it as a CD, and people want a CD copy, why not just design our own CD album art, front and back covers?
AND, what's the track listing? Can someone post that up?
