Great fanvid. You splice all the clips really well together and they create a compelling narrative. Am I wrong or do the clips go in reverse chronological order, almost as if we're watching the realationship develop backwards?

You nailed it. The clips start with Out of Gas and slowly worked their way back to Serenity. The vid is a look at Mal and Simon's "relationship" so to speak.
