I'm trapped all alone in the gas station of love and I have to use the self-service pump...
Not unlike Mal Reynolds in "Out of Gas."
Just trying to steer things back to Serenity.

Not unlike Mal Reynolds in Our Mrs. Reynolds, either.

Frankly, I think the best thing for him is to be left alone in a room full of FF fans with the sign "The Cap'n is a wuss" taped to his chest. Or better yet, the sign "Joss sux!". THEN we'll gather up what's left of him and tell him no hard feelings cause we are civilized people after all.
(sorry, I keep thinking about that die hard movie where BW wears the racist sign in Harlem)

Yes, I'm afraid it's a troll indeed.
A quick search on news.google.com (+fox +firefly) brought up no such news....anywhere.
There was one interesting discussion of Fox, and a poignant Firefly lament worth noting:
Quote:
Of course, a few genuinely good, innovative shows slip through their cracks and get on television every year. But with the odds so stacked against them, who wants to get hooked by a new show, only to be heartbroken when it gets canceled six weeks later? I do it every year -- this year's dalliance was with "Firefly," a smart, sexy and funny science fiction/Western hybrid from "Buffy, The Vampire Slayer" creator Joss Whedon. Fox sent him a cancellation notice as a Christmas present.
"Firefly" actually took me an episode or two to get into, which is another reason why patience would be a virtue for network executives. If the average show needs time to build an audience, really quality shows need it even more, since the things that make them good are also things that many viewers need a little time to acclimate themselves to.

Maybe we could rent one of those precious electric chest zapper thingies from Niska to use on our local troll.
Ah, how the thoughts of torture bring us together. We are bad men.

We could tattoo "I will not cruelly taunt Firefly fans by spreading lies that raise their eternally forlorn hopes of once again seeing Serenity soar through the black just to get a few more hits on my crappy-assed website since it can't generate enough interest on its own merits, primarily because idiots like me are affiliated with it" on each of his/er eyeballs.

Oh heck yeah. New album on the 20th!
One of the many, many reasons I married my husband was cos he had "Even Worse" on vinyl.
Now I have to go get a cup of coffee with a carcinogenic sweetner and just one more jelly donut!
And if you can't hijack a troll thread, which thread can you hijack?!

His website (listed above) is kind of interesting. If you go to the section that lists ratings ---
you will find that Firefly had better ratings than Buffy, Angel, Charmed, Dawson's creek, and pretty much everything else on the smaller networks except for Smallville. It only had bad ratings compared to reality shows.
Kind of interesting.

Very. I got to looking at that yesterday and really wondered again if Fox didn't have it in for the show, or Whedon, or something.
One other thing: I don't think this troll is in any way affiliated with The Futon Critic. They're a pretty reliable site. That twerp just gave us something we'd hit immediately.
