I've tried several times. I actually got it to not kick me off once, but no one else showed up. All the other times I try I can connect, then get dumped. Not sure why - the same IRC client works fine for other channels. I'm willing to keep trying if anyone wants to chat.

I've tried a couple times too and actual chatted for a few with some guy from Australia who'd dl'd the eps.

This is #firefly on Undernet? What times are y'all there?

I remember the days when the IRC was filled to bursting... *sigh* back in the good old days.

I can't seem to get it to work for me lately - it might have been a split, but I didn't even see any bots around, so I know *something* was messed up.

Have gotten it to work in the past, but there's seemingly not many IRC-proficient folk left these days, gah!

Presumably most of the population is on AOL and discussing idiotic "reality" TV shows instead of here, and that thought kinda makes me wanna puke right now.

Still been trying to get the IRC to work for me again, no luck. I seem to be able to connect just fine, but then get : Disconnected (Remote host closed socket).

Any a ya'all have a clue for me? I kinda assume it a problem on my end causing it, but can't find it. The IRC client I'm using is X-Chat (1.8.10) if that helps anyone.

try mIRC It's essentially freeware.

I usually get that to work decently.

Thanks for the suggestion, but it appears to be windows only so I can't use it. Need a linux one. What confuses me is that I've been using X-Chat and it still works fine for everything else, it's just Firefly I can't stay connected to.

Bump!
Anyone up for a test?
I appear to actually be connected, and staying that way, in chat. But....

If someone is online and wants to try we can see if this is really working or not.
