Spinland, hope everyone's OK. And don't feel guilty. These huge events are always so strange for people who aren't directly involved - you feel bad, then you feel bad that you don't really feel bad because you're not actually affected.
Thanks for the update on the comic - hopefully I can get hold of one (two? three?) at the weekend. Aren't I grateful my theatre ticket coincides with their release?!
Reckon I know which Jewel photo I'll get - the one of her sitting. As for those Stargate ones, well...Of course I'm still clinging to the faint hope of finding the Kaylee cover, otherwise I think I'll get the Visual Companion signed as my personal item.

Thanks for the good thoughts; everyone I personally know is okay, which is a very good thing. I just (in the past few minutes) got some e-mail at work: everyone but one person in our company has been found; that one person is still missing which is not a good feeling. Hopefully he got out okay and has just been overlooked in all the chaos.
I loved that picture of Jewel, she looks great as ever. I've never been to a con, are those photos in front of her examples of ones you can buy and have signed?
I noticed some pictures of a poster where River looks like Amy Lee (of Evanescence) holding an axe and a sword. Is that the Australian poster I heard mention of?

Yep, the oh-so controversial Australian (and apparently UK) poster - there are various postings in the Blue Sun Room. People are somewhat divided on it.
I'm impressed that you guys were looking at the photos and not Jewel's legs!

I still have one friend I haven't heard from. It looks like most are staying with relatives in various parts of the south. Your CEO sounds like a nice guy. Kudos to him.

Do I just see something different when i look at the men? Am I the only gal that can't help wanting to throw herself at Sean? Nathan, Alan, Adam, and Ron are nice looking specimens, but Sean...I don't know. Of course he could be brainless idiot. Never met him so I don't know...but he's pretty.
I'm slowly coming to worship Morena...I'd still pick Jewel...but Morena is growing on me....well, not 'on' me.

Thanks for the offer but as I'm in London at the weekend I'll take my chances. Think I should be OK! However, feedback on whose got what will be appreciated.
BTW, the laptop is working! I couldn't actually follow your advice as there was no auto-connect option so I just clicked everything in sight three times and voila! My mother was most impressed, let me tell you.
Oh and TWG - definitely Sean! I'm afraid Nathan & Alan just don't do it for me. But Sean? Mmmmmm....
