Every Sunday we gather in the AIM room Firefly and thumb our noses at the special hell while watching episodes together.
We start at about 18:00 GMT - you can find the time in your city at http://xrl.us/mnfs
To keep the Firefly room free of movie spoilers, please use the Serenity room if you want to discuss the DBM.
If you haven't chatted on AIM before you'll need software to join the room. If you're running on GNU/Linux or Windows (may Gor have mercy on your soul) you can try http://gaim.sourceforge.net/downloads.php
If you're running MacOS try http://www.aim.com/ and click the "Download Now" button.
If you don't have an AIM account yet you can get one at http://www.aim.com/ by clicking on the link at "Don't have a screen name? Get one FREE".
Invite yourself to the Firefly room, or if you're struggling just send a message to ImJacksNickname or YT13 asking for an invite.
With the gaim software go to the "Buddy List" window, "Buddies", "Join a chat...", put Firefly in the room input box, and click the "Join" button.
With the AOL AIM software go to the "Buddy List" window, select "People", select "Send Chat Ivitation", in the "screen names to invite" field put your screen name as well as any friends you'd like to invite, in the "Chat room" field, type Firefly
If you don't have your DVDs or tapes handy, feel free to join us anyway for a chat.

On 2005-08-07 we watched Jaynestown and Objects in space.
The room maxed out at about a dozen, and included 4 newbies.

Ah, havent been to a VS since the April 22nd "memorial" shindig... I didnt know you guys still did them! But alas, it's now nearly 1pm here, it started at 11am for me :(

On Sunday, 2005 August 14, three of the remaining sad seven of us stayed for Trash.
Over the past four Sundays, we've watched the series in DVD order, from pilot through Trash. We could easily watch the remaining three eps in well under three hours, next Sunday; it's only 2 & 1/4 hours of screen time, which leaves plenty of time for coffee, snack & other essential breaks. Just an observation, as I can't make it.
