It's nice to know the lost episodes are out there, but this kind of profiteering is just lame. What happened to our grassroots tradition of episode trading at the mere cost of VHS and/or DVD blanks?

Anyone know how to report copyright violation to eBay?

I don't come here anymore, but notice that he's the only one that sells any FF memorabilia?

Makes me wonder if it's some propmaster at Fox, thereby once again allowing Fox to rip us off.

I bet its just someone who worked on the show trying to make a profit on stuff he doesn't deem very costly.

Hopefully it'll be a nice fan who gets these tapes, I'd love to see the eps sooner than 12 weeks from now when they start to air in the UK.(I'm sure someone there will get em on kazaa)

I wholeheartedly agree with HJERMSTED and LOSTANGEL. This seems like profeteering at its worst.

I know everyone is entitled to make up their own mind, but I would like to discourage members of this community from partaking in this auction.

It may be a losing proposition. Not convinced it's the wrong one though.

Just in case, I don't support this either(if that wasn't clear)

Its not evil or wrong or anything, just as you said, profiteering at its worst.

If you are against this auction does that mean you wont watch the episodes if they are put up? Or that the person who wins maybe shouldn't put them up because its wrong. Maybe they should buy them and hand them back over to fox....

Distribution of the eps isn't what I'm taking issue with. Profiteering from VHS dubs is what troubles me. These aren't even masters this guy is selling... As soon as someone points this out to an eBay official, his auction is over.

No video tape is worth $100+ (unless it's a very old and out of print master or official copy of something).

I would gladly watch the missing eps were they to fall into my hands... However, I would be a bit more gracious about getting said eps into the hands of all the hungry hungry Browncoats out there (for the mere cost of tapes and postage thus avoiding the black market).

I can understand what you are saying. Why don't you report him to ebay then? At least then it would be taken care of.
