Official 258 West Authentic Announcement: ADAM BALDWIN has agreed to sign on with 258 West Authentic. He has agreed to sign 458 Autographed Serenity Comic Books ( W/ Jayne on the cover ). These will be available to ship September 15th and will be limited to only 458 Copies. Every Comic comes with a 258 West Authentic tamper proof hologram on both the Comic and the Certificate of Authenticity. Also all 258 West Authentic Autographs come with a unique serial number on each hologram.

Since this board has no official ties to any store, I think it'd only be right to share an alternative for ordering Serenity merch.

While 258 West is the only place you can get signed copies of Serenity comics, I strongly recommend Poplollies to get your other goods (or regular comics). Their Browncoats page is at http://poplollies.com/browncoats/index.htm and they are incredibly helpful and understanding. Whereas I tried emailing 258 West twice (once from my account and once from their website) and posted on the Versal Board to them once without a response regarding the comics, I was able to easily place an order with Poplollies (who still have most of issues #1 and 2 in stock), and I found them to be nothing but helpful and willing to have me as a customer. They even helped me to make changes to my order without batting an eye and it was perhaps the most pleasant online ordering experience I've ever had.

And if you're going to be at a con or other function where the BDHs will be present, you could buy a comic from Poplollies and have them sign it for cheaper than $35 + shipping, I imagine.

Sorry you had a bad experiance with my site, for that I am sorry. I am accually really good about getting back to people, so I dont know why I would have ignored your emails. I have shipped over 3000 comics with no major issues. Also my comic signed comics come with a lot of cool bonuses. Like hologram sereial numbers on each comic with matching ones on the CoA's. They are also part of a limited edition set so that that their value stay high and get higher with time. I think I did very well putting together a site for browncoats to come get everything in one spot. Again sorry.

I can respect that you're a businessman and that you're trying to move product, and probably have a solid arrangement set up to do just that.

However, as there is no exclusivity arrangement on this board, it's also my right as a customer to detail my experience and offer suggestions for what I believe to be better outlets to buy items.

It's not my intention to have a long winded public discussion on the subject (If you wish to discuss it farther, you can use the private messaging tool of this board). You've promoted your product in the best way you think possible, I've provided my alternative as I see fit. However Browncoats choose to buy their mechandise is up to them, and we've both done our parts as we feel necessary to do that. We all have the common goal of hoping this movie is a success and the franchise has a long and prosporous future. Let's remember that.

As far as a businessman, I am a browncoat first, part time businessman. I never once said anything about you not being able to post you experiance with my shop on these boards or this site. I dont know why our so defensive. Like I said I am sorry you had a bad experince, I admit I work really hard to answer every question and to try and info all browncoats with is much info as I can and some times it get super busy and things fall through the cracks. Since the company consistats of just me right now I cant blame this on anyone but my self hehehe. Not easy working full time and running a browncoat shop at the same time hehe. I am glad there is another shop selling browncoat stuff I hope there are more coming, it means business is good and the movie is doing well. Thats all I care about, that and helping people stay informed about merchindice. Again sorry.
