I am running a Firefly Larp this year at Dragoncon that just got approved two days ago. It should be up on the Website soon so keep a look out. You fans can contact me to reserve a spot and also pick what type of character you want to play just by emailing me or contacting me over aim.

We are charging 15 at the door and 10 for pre-register people in order to offset the cost of the props and printing for the game. If you wish to pre-regiser contact me privatly and we can go over the details of a character.

Ok to answer some of the questions.

A larp - It is a Role Playing Game i.e. D&D that you actually take on the role of a person in the universe and act it out with other people. There is a rules system to resolve things like shoot outs and the such but no actual weapons or touching of other players. Thus you get to dress up and basicl act for a few hours like the characters we all know and love.

Next, the game is going to be held from 6pm till roughly midnight on Sat of the con weekend. I hope this will allow for more people to show up as that most pannels shut down around that time. If you are a little late that isn't a problem either.

The System - The system we are using is basicl the Uni System that is used in the Buffy and Angel RPG I feel it is simple and it captures the adventuresque nature of the show.

Lastly, I have been informed that the Larp staff is trying to get at least some of the staff to partake or at least make a cameo in the game if at all possible so it could be possible to try and outwit the Supremely talented Capt. Mal or get shot with Vera. You never know.
