I bought all three covers for me,
plus three extra 'Mal' covers to send to friends & family...
only to find it wasn't enough. I could use some extra copies to loan out to people who want to read it.

My local comic book store sold out, but promises to have a bigger order on hand when 'Serenity #3' comes out (because they don't like selling out so quickly)

I couldn't find issue 1 so I ordered it from http://www3.tfaw.com/search/index.html?sstring=serenity+cover&cart=523
1307297318054 and preordered 2&3 All covers. I feel stupid about stuff like this though because the value on most comics will never rise much more than the cover price. Everyone, their mothers and gradmothers keep comics baged and boarded these days.

Oh I didn't get the comics for their resale value;
I got them because I loved them.
At first I thought that just getting and reading one would be enough,
but when I saw all three covers I realized I wanted them all
(hey they are cheaper than getting all the action figures!).

If 'Serenity' really takes off and becomes a franchize then maybe these comics will go up in value
(in which case you could sell them at a profit someday)...
or they might just be wonderful keepsakes when you are old and grey,
remembering how you loved the show before the movie was even released.

No matter what they are better value than the half a ton of old Buffy & Angel magazines I wanna get rid of! LOL

I ordered all three variants of all three comics, not for resale value or what have you...

But just 'cause I love all the characters.

I'm that twee.

(And, yes, so far issue #1 and #2 have made me laugh out loud).

Also guilty of ordering all 3 covers of all 3 issues, though I still haven't got mine.

Any idea when I'd be likely to get them 258West? (Ordered them from you mid July...)

And I didn't order multiples for any reason other than I wanted them, coz' they have the people I love on the cover.

Can we start getting sexed already?

Didn't order all 3 covers. The cover art isn't so good that I have to have it all and I'm more interested in the story anyway. I expect 258West's stats are not representitive because most shops were not selling packs of 3 and were not advertising on fan forums. I already knew that the comics were doing well because it was so hard to find a shop which hadn't sold out.

I only have one o f each right now. I do also want the Book cover, but I'll have to see on how to get it b/c I haven't seen ANY available covers left after the fans got to it.

Now if I liked every cover, I'd get one issue and just get Tradeback...or maybe only that...*shrugs* oh well

I definitely bought all the covers, and most of the sites I went to when shopping for them offered a 3-cover bundle so methinks that's a common way in which they're selling them. I'm also not interested in resale value, only in collecting all nine of those marvelous cover illustrations! Since this is the first time I've ever bought "comic books" of any sort, this was quite a departure for me. I blame Joss.

I phoned the store the day the comic was announced here on fff.net and ordered all three covers.
one set for me
one set for my friend's girls who LOVE Firefly
one for our Firefly room at Marscon next spring
