Hello everyone! I would LOVE to have a Shindig or get a bunch of us together to go see the movie but I can't seem to find other fans in the Chicago area. I'll be attending Windycon this year and if anyone is interested in cohosting a Browncoat Party, please let me know at vencap@hotmail.com.

too bad you didn't ask earlier...they had a table at the Chicago Wizard World comic book convention...
but they are a lively bunch,
just go here:
http://tv.groups.yahoo.com/group/chicagofirefly/
and join up, and introduce yourself.
They are always getting together for some activity or another!

Enjoy!

In addition to the Chicago Browncoats already listed, many of us at chicago-sf.org (I believe you've already signed up there) are huge Firefly geeks. A number of us saw Serenity at the first preview.

I've been thinking about what we should do for opening weekend.

I'm a Chicagoan, newly converted to Firefly.

Same here, I mean, newly converted to Firefly. I rented disc one from Blockbuster after seeing the trailer for Serenity on apple.com and I was hooked. I didn't even bother renting them, I bought the dvd. Now I'm shamelessly plugging the series and the movie to my coworkers. It's so embarrassing. ;)
