I've been enjoying Firefly on Sci-Fi the last few weeks, and am super-glad they're airing it. Don't see another thread on this subject, so I just wanted to air some tiny complaints:

a) It's not widescreen.

b) When the show was on Fox, the show couldn't "cut to black" to commercial, because on Buffy/Angel, you had that pause before commercials, and the computers that run Fox programs wouldn't insert that pause-- so the show originally "cut to gray." Sci-Fi has no gray, and no pause, so the commericals start up rather abruptly.

c) Old intros. Not a complaint, really, so much as an observation.

Other than that......... still super-happy it's onSci-Fi, and I'll keep watching every week, to add to the ratings and re-memorize all the dialogue and superkeen moments.

Only 49 days to go......................
xoxo

Hmph. Well as I was typing the above, "Bushwacked" came on, and I'm sitting here watching it....... and they "cut-to-gray" so that pause before commercials returns.

In Week One, they showed Serenity, Part One.

In Week Two, they showed Serenity 1 & 2, back to back.

In Week Three, I totally was working and missed "The Train Job."

But those first two weeks, there was no gray, and no pause, I swear.

Glad it's back.

I just saw the 'Book' intro. Never saw these when FF origionally aired on FOX. I had heard about 'em, and read the scripts, but never SEEN them.

I got the impression that there were only 2 such intros...one by Mal, the other by Book Anyway, I watched the SciFi airing of the shows as best I could, and this was the 1st time I'd seen 'em.

Shiny.

They also had Book's intro at the beginning of the Train Job last week. It seems SciFi is using the intros for newbies to the show. So they have an understanding of what is going on.

Oh, and play Cantr II at www.cantr.net.

There is a third intro, also by Mal, that is almost identical with his first one. Mainly different in introducing the crew.

MAL "You only gotta scare him."
JAYNE "Pain is scary..."

I caught a quick 'fade to gray' last night while watching Bushwhacked. I think they've got it all worked out now.
