if that is a joke it is very unfunny, I now need to search the web. I knew nothing about this. Help!

EDITED: I found the blurb on Whedonesque and have registered but the viewing is for regular members of the Dutch forum and my Dutch isn't good enough to post on there. I am even sadder than I was before, now I want to cry. In fact I may just do that!

UPDATE

OK, so Ive just spent a bit of time discussing things with the lovely laura at TGIs, and I mentioned that although im saying people should email me, its no guarantee they will.

So we talked some more and she came up with a solution i think is great

She has arranged to have one side of the bar cordoned off for us all, we can still order some food and bar snacks etc, but there wont be a limit to people coming. and if once we are all there, we decide we want to go to the main restuarant, they can place us upstairs, or if people just want to go in for a meal the re join us, they can do that too

it also means that we have that area for the whole night so those who are coming but not going to the screening, can stay, and shindig until we get back, also latecomers will be fine.

this is a great arrangement as i don't think i can leave work to be there at five as i'm already taking the piss with memorabilia and edinburgh but it'd be great to meet before or after - was hoping that my house might be empty for people needing to stay - but seems my pesky house mates will be around - let me jsut say they're only comment on lost was that its very very silly

Hi Emma,

I am not a faithfull member of browncoats.nl, but I saw you posting in there (no, not accusing you!) but there is a special section for non-dutch speaking browncoats (I know I can make this sentence better, not just now!). Did you ask Andrea to put you on the waitinglist? There might be some people who can't make it the 20th of August.
Just ask her, there might be a slight chance, why not try it? Although I hang out on the OB, 'versal board (lurker mode) and here (again: lurker mode!) they are quite friendly.

I did pop in on one of those scaring Serenity2 threads (one of the earlier ones, a while ago I think?) but it's hard to keep up with you guys!
There are so many threads!

Also: I'm not supposed to spend so much time on fun-things now, am looking for a new job.
My last job was not very demanding, so I could take some time now and then to have a look around at all the fun-stuff.
But my temporary contract wasn't renewed (nooooo, not because I spend too much time on the internet! Stupid merger of two schools, all temps out), so now I'm here in my kitchen looking for something new to do.
And those phone-bills kill me! (Yeah, still stupid dial-up. I'm old-fashioned. And can't make up my mind about a new provider for a shiny fast internet connection grrrr).
Anyhoo, I try to keep my internet time a bit within limits.

But ... hope to see you at the 20th of August screening. And else: Serenity2!
