Firefly music recommendations

Okay, I've now gotten a whole load of various bits and pieces. Alison Krauss, Dolly Parton, Norah Jones, Bill Monroe, Douglas Dillard, Flatt and Scruggs, Jim and Jesse, Ralph Stanley and the Stanley Bros - amongst others. Now I'll have to play through the CDs and find ones that are of a Firefly suitability.

There's a song by Afro-Celt Sound System, on the 'Gangs of New York' album, called 'Dark Moon, High Tide', that has the deep strings and casual 'wild west' tone to it; so much so that every time I hear it I'm tricked into thinking it's a new 'Firefly' release or something. It's lyricless, but it's gorgeous and might just fit what you're looking for. There's even a ring tone for it that you can google for and get an idea of what it's like, but of course it doesn't convey the subtle yet compelling beat that the instruments draw together. Drums, a flute of some type, deep strings and what sounds like almost an odd type of bagpipe...Anyway, saw your post and it came to mind immediately. Find it if you can and give a listen. :)

Thanks for the other recommendations; always good to have new music to look forward to.

Edit...just had to add, much of the music from the "House of Flying Daggers" soundtrack puts me in mind of having the feel of Firefly as well. I'm going to have to keep a separate folder now, I think.
