According to both Darkhorse.com and my local comic shop, the second Serenity comic was shipped out today. I'm going to pick mine up this afternoon. Sorry if someone else has already posted this, but I thought it should be known. Kinda sneaked up on me I know it. Anyway, two of three. Book looks perfect on the cover. Buy it! Read it! Love it! *ahem* yeah.

Yep, just got mine. I really hope they keep this up. In other words, another series of comics between the movies.

Yep, got mine today! I liked it a lot more than the first one. I even brought it in to work with me to get translations
. I don't know the page numbers, but here they are in order, starting with Mal's rather long phrase:
1. no work, boring, not a job (or something along those lines; it's a rough translation cuz my co-worker doesn't speak English very well yet)
2. f**k (according to my co-worker, this is a relatively new word created in the last 10 years or so)
3. whoops! (again, something along those lines; this is a phrase specific to Shanghai, so it might not translate well if the translator isn't from Shanghai)
Oh, and on the cover written behind the author / artist names is something like "exciting!".
I'm sure someone else will be able to post better translations, but this should give you the general idea.
Cheers.

Gorramit! Just called my local shop and they said it'd be another week before it shows. Think the guy didn't know what he's talkin' about, so I'll swing by there during lunch tomorrow.

Yep, picked mines up earlier today. Liked it better than Issue #1. Although, River's voice seemed a bit off in one panel near the end. All in all, great read. Here's hoping for a regular comic series after the movie makes its mark to keep us occupied til Serenity 2 rolls on out.

Mal: You wanna run this ship?
Jayne: Yes.
Mal: Well… you can’t.

Woohoo! Got a call from my shop (Comic Carnival in Indianapolis) saying it was in - I'll be picking it up on the way home from work!
So shiny...

Yep, I picked up my copies of first and second issues at the comic book store. I asked if it was doing well and she was thrilled it was doing well. The owner said she has 33 people getting copies.

Got mine... I only get one cover, so I chose the Kaylee cover (drawn by Runaways cover artist Jo Chen), cause it's the shiniest.
The issue wasn't bad, but I still have a feeling that the comic as a whole aren't what they should be.

Did anyone else think of the old addage "never bring a knife to a gunfight" when they got to the part where
Select to view spoiler:
badger's henchmen approached Serenity menacingly armed only with a knife, nun-chucks, a quarterstaff, and one gun (still in shoulder holster) respectively? Why'd they need the surprise gas, they could have just gunned 'em down any time...
Jayne, your mouth is talkin. Might want to look into that.
