Ummm.....the dance proof glasses are....well...kinda just a pair of forks to gouge your own eyes out with...but luckily the dancing has been stopped by an ever alert crew member.
Thanks Serenity!! Although a small wounding might deter it for happening again, just a suggestion....
Oh...and I waxed the top of the table...so next time he tries it....

Umm..I think I'll pass on the glasses Safe. I'm rather attached to my eyeballs.
But thanks for waxing the table. Good thinking! You are doing a GREAT job as Handyman.
(FYI everyone: I was a nanny for about 6 years, so expect alot of cheerleading from my end. Learn to love it.

Okay, I've joined! Wheeeee!
I'd like to be "Public Relations," if it please the Captain & 1st Mate. (And PsychicRiver, since I'd be stealing his initials.)

That vote of confidence came a bit early, me thinks...
Next time you let me know where to turn BEFORE we get to the extit, stupid!
Maybe we need one of them fancy computerised navigator thingies as back up?
No worries though, we'll work on that. It takes a bit to keep up with my wreckless flying.

Okay guys, I couldn't sleep last night, so I had lots of time to think about this, so excuse the ramblings. And yes, I know this is all make-believe.
So, here's what I was thinking. Serenity was built to hold approximately 8-12 people, right? It has 4 crew bunks and 4 passenger cabins. Plus, it has 2 shuttles that will each hold 4 or 5 people. So let's make it a round 10. (I'm going by memory here, I never actually counted rooms.) But we get to have a crew of 30. So, here's what I'm thinking. Fireflies come in different sizes, Serenity being probably the smallest model. That means that our ship, in order to hold 3 times as many people would have to be at least 3 times bigger.
Instead of 4 crew rooms, we'd have at least 12. I personally think we should have 14; 7 on each side. Same with passenger rooms. Everything would be bigger-engine, cockpit (or whatever it's called), kitchen/dining area, cargo bay, infirmary. The infirmary could probably hold at least 6 instead of 2. And we'd either have to have more shuttles (6 if each holds 5 people) or bigger ones that could each hold 10 or 15 people. Let's go with the former. 6 shuttles. 5 in each. We need to have enough shuttles to hold everyone. That's one of the important lessons we learned from the Titanic. Always have enough lifeboats. (And also "Don't mock God", but that's not important right now.)
Does that makes sense? What do you think?
Of course, if our ship is this big, we'd probably have to double up on a few jobs. We'd definitely need a co-pilot and probably a 2nd engineer, just because there'd be so much work. And maybe even a 2nd Officer. And we'd need a medic and an assistant (or nurse, whatever.) And we would definitely need someone in charge of the cargo, since we'd be able to haul so much more (and since we could assume that with a bigger ship there'd be even more hidey holes.) What was the job title of that guy in your story Soul? Slips my mind at the moment.
So, if everyone were to agree with my late night theorying, then we'd have 28 rooms. Let's assume that Needy is renting a shuttle for his "business", that means that we could easily fit the remaining 29 (when we get to 30) of us into the 28 rooms and only 2 people would have to share (any takers?) Of course, if we decide to ever take on passengers, we'd have to do a bit of reshuffling, but that shouldn't be too hard, I'd think.
So, that's my theory. Bigger Firefly. No need to be sardines.
I'm done rambling now.

Well, piffle, Serenity.
Here I go spending time over the weekend working on a cgi model of our little ship and you redesign it into our mid-sized ship.
Back (literally) to the drawing board.
Don't fret too much; I only spent a bit of time on an old firefly model before my wife booted me so she could feed her SIMs addiction. I still hadn't decided if we had the Ought-3 model with the extenders or not. Maybe we have the ship Book flew in that shook so much....
