Hey everybody. I was talking to some folks at my local comic shop yesterday, and the owner mentioned that she had heard that David Boreanaz is making a cameo in the BDM as Angel. Did anybody hear anything about this? If done as a funny nod to Whedonverse fans, it should be amusing. Any thoughts on this?

I love Angel the show and Angel the character but dear god no. No, no, no.

And it's not true BTW although I'm sure there's some fic that shows otherwise.

ha ha ha...they where f'ng with you. I did something similar to my mom. After seeing the movie I told her the big secret was that Firefly was a far future sequel to Buffy. The reavers where actually a genetically altered vampire and that River was a bioengineered slayer. She bought it too. She said that sucked and she wounldn't go see the movie now. So I didn't have the heart to keep up the charade so I told her it wasn't true much to her relief.

that rumor has been floating around online for at least two years,
Joss was asked last year at the Chicago Comic Con if it was true and he said there is a fine line between making a movie and 'having a party at my house'...and no, he wasn't casting any Buffy or Angel people in 'Serenity'

Now that so many of us have seen the BDM you would think the rumor would have been killed, because no, really, DB is not in it.

Unless he plays a Reaver....

Yeah, I kind of figured it was bogus, having also read that quote from Joss, but was wondering if anybody had heard anything to the contrary. I don't know, I still think it might have been funny to have Angel pop up in a bar where the BDHs are and make some subtle reference as to who he is, and then move on. But I have a feeling one little joke like that would like to some truly horrendous fanfics. (And I should know, I once found a Back to the Future/ Lord of the Rings crossover fanfic.)
