Feh. Bad boys you all, putting spoilers into your posts.... let us wonder. Don't tempt me with your magical ... uh, tempts.

ANYWAY...........................

Personally, I still prefer the UK Trailer. The first one was cool, but I disliked the song choice for when River is kicking butt in the bar. This same song re-appears in the newest trailer... though they've cut the Kasabian track, which was just freaking cool.

The new U.S. one has its moments and all ("Do you wanna run this ship?!"), but for some reason is just cut faster and more helter-skelter than the UK one (to me), and I want my trailer slow and deliberate, so as to insidiously crawl under the skin of Joe Average American Film-Goer.

But that's just me, I've been wrong before.

(qs)

Gorram double post. Requesting ways to delete posts, if the site admin is reading?

Wait, no, I thought of something else, so I'll use this space after all.

1) I Looo-ho-hooooooooooove the way the marketing department has resolved to make Nathan and Summer BIG GORRAM MOVIE STARS. No matter what the film may have in store, THEY are the STARS, and could quite possibly be gigantic (more gigantic) stars after the movie is released. Look at the Trailer: It was ALL Nathan and Summer, with a pinch of Adam. In the newest US trailer, and UK as well, you saw the face of Zoe, Kaylee, and the rest, but rather than bog the uninitiated down with all the new faces, they kept it simple. I'm not worried, though. Joss doesn't keep it simple, but marketers must, and if this IS the first film in a trilogy... well... see #2

2) Book. I'm not worried. There's 2 more films, and a LOT of story to tell. If Fox wasn't stupid, this show could have run 5 to 7 years, (Buffy/Angel) or even 11 (X-Files). Let's take care of the River thing first (where the series left off) and take it from there.

You're in Good Hands with Whedon.

About Book, the comic hints at his post-series plans.

Back to the trailer itself, it looked like River punched Simon in the throat and kicked him on his rear end. And it looked like Jayne put some pro wrestling move on Wash, clotheslining him then pile driving him on his head. WTF?

Also, did you see that little sawed-off bow that Inara had? What's that for? Shooting wooden stakes at vampires?

Still looks like a fun movie, though.

My $.02

May have been on the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Don't really consider this a spoiler but i will put it in spoiler tags anyway. It's not anything you couldn't glean from the trailer.

Select to view spoiler:

It's not Wash; it's just some guy in the bar.

Anyone else think the dubbing of "the universe is going to know the truth" is completely wrong?
