FFGal, calling me DT is just fine. I feel awful silly though because I hadn't even thought about bringing a book for Anne McCaffrey to sign! Can you tell I've never been to one of these before?
If there has been a new book since The Skies of Pern, I haven't heard about it and that is the only hardcover I have although I do have all the rest in paperback (dragonrider series). Anyway, I just wanted to talk to her and ask her to write a book from the Dragon perspective only. I love their wisdom, wit and humor. Actually I like them better than some of the characters. That's a great thought about asking Anne to write from the Dragon's perspective. At least it will keep the series alive. I loved about half of the series. At some point I felt it was just reaching too far to find "sequels and prequels" but a Dragon perspective would be cool! And you certainly don't HAVE to bring stuff for her to autograph but if you're already on line, why not? She'll sign paperback or hard cover. There's probably a limit to how many she will sign at once but I don't know what it is.
